If you have always loved goats but thought you didn't have the space for them a pair of little Nigerian Dwarfs might be perfect for you! They look just like "proper" goats..just smaller!

They are a very popular breed in the US but not so well known over here ,although they have existed in small herds since they were imported as Zoo specimens in the 19th century. We have been lucky enough to own and breed our own little beauties for 20years now and they have been a constant source of delight for us.

If you have a reasonable sized garden you can easily keep a pair of Nigerians. You will need shelter for them to sleep in (a 6x4 garden shed will be fine) and a securely fenced area for play/exercise. As they will not be able to graze much they will need plenty of hay and access to fresh water. They need to have their hooves trimmed routinely but that's not hard and I will show you how. Before you bring any livestock onto your land you need to contact the RPA for a CPH number but that's just a simple phone call.

Before they leave home all our kids will be vaccinated, treated with parasite preventatives (internal and external)

and eartagged as required by DEFRA. We do NOT remove horns as they are a vital part of the goat's cooling system and we feel it is inhumane. We also do not sell intact male kids. All our little boys are surgically castrated

by our vet under anaesthetic. Goats form strong family bonds so we never separate twins. They settle so much better in their new home with a familiar sibling to cuddle up to. We leave their mums to decide when their babies are ready to wean which is usually about 12 weeks so this year's little ones will be ready to go around July time.A £50 non-refundable deposit will reserve your favourites until then.

If you have any questions ,or would like to come and see all our lovely babies

(still 3 mums to produce!) please do not hesitate to get in touch.
