These four chicks are almost ready to leave their adoptive broody hen, and are currently fed on non-GMO chick crumb, and living free-range with access to a large garden and wooded areas. They are a cross between a barnevelder cockerel (a large fowl chicken that lays roughly 260 dark brown eggs a year) and hybrid rescue hens laying over 300 eggs a year). From previous experience, chickens raised from this group are good layers (so far laying about 6 eggs a week), and can come in a large variety of colours, including red, brown, speckled, white, black, and iridescent purple.
The chicks are £5 each, but I’d like them to go together, as chickens are social animals and do not do well alone. I’m fundraising for an A-Level trip to Borneo, so any offers would be much appreciated.
