    How to dismantle a shotgun

“OK now I’m going to break down the gun into its three parts for the cleaning process. It’s been out shooting pigeons recently, so its quite filthy and fairly rusty. The first thing we need to do is close the gun together, obviously making sure it is empty. This is done by pushing the wood, that’s this end here, to the metal. If you do it the other way round it makes a horrible noise and is particularly frowned upon. From there we then have our full stop, as we said before the two bits that hold our two bits together. On the top theres a little button, we push that and the full stop comes off in one hand. Now we turn the gun back up the other way, making sure the barrels pointed to the ground there. Push our top lever across and the gun then comes apart into three sections.”
