Introduced into the UK market from Belgium in 1989, the Beltex is a medium sized breed, with rams averaging around 95kg. Known for their striking, double-muscled hindquarters, Beltex sheep are primarily used for crossing with both British sheep and half-bred continental sheep. Finished Beltex lamb is much sought after due to its high quality conformation.
